Their vision was simple: create a backyard that offered multiple gathering spaces, effortless flow, and resort-style amenities, while also elevating the home’s curb appeal with a grand front entrance worthy of the residence.

A Grand First Impression
The existing front walkway failed to create the warm, welcoming first impression the homeowners envisioned. To transform the arrival experience, we designed a front entrance that feels both timeless and inviting.
A gracefully curved flagstone walkway now guides guests to the front door, blending seamlessly with the home’s existing brick architecture to create a refined, European-inspired aesthetic. At its center, a circular inlay provides a striking focal point, thoughtfully designed to showcase a statement planter that can be refreshed with the seasons. The harmonious pairing of natural flagstone and classic brick adds warmth, character, and enduring elegance, creating a sense of arrival that is as memorable as it is welcoming.

Before: An Outdoor Space That Didn’t Match the Home
The original backyard lacked both function and visual impact. An aging deck offered limited entertaining space, while the outdoor kitchen was awkwardly positioned, blocking views from the screened porch. The lower level consisted of a basic concrete slab with little purpose, leaving the backyard disconnected and underutilized.

Expanded Outdoor Living
A new, larger Trex® deck dramatically increases usable space while creating a seamless connection to the screened porch. By relocating the outdoor kitchen to the side of the home, we opened expansive views of the landscape and backyard beyond, allowing the architecture and outdoor spaces to work together rather than compete.
Year-Round Luxury
A natural flagstone walkway leads guests to a fully waterproofed covered living area below. Designed as a true outdoor room, this inviting space offers comfortable lounge seating alongside a year-round plunge pool and spa, creating a destination that can be enjoyed in every season. Whether hosting lively summer celebrations, enjoying an evening around the fire, or relaxing with family after a swim, the landscape was intentionally designed with multiple destinations that encourage connection while offering intimate spaces to unwind.
Landscape Architecture That Completes the Experience
Layers of Limelight hydrangeas, ornamental grasses, and Wine & Roses® Ninebark provide four-season beauty, texture, and color. A professionally designed landscape lighting system highlights architectural features, walkways, and plantings, extending the enjoyment of the property long after sunset.

The custom outdoor grill station now serves as its own destination, featuring premium appliances and a built-in pizza oven—perfect for everything from casual family dinners to entertaining large groups.
