Landscape Designer/Architect 

 

Washington Metropolitan area design-build company seeking experienced, highly motivated creative landscape designer to perform all aspects of design with solid sales and managment skills involving client relations and installation. The ability to listen and communicate is a must.

 

The position will entail visiting client homes, meeting with homeowners, and assessing their wishes and needs to further the relationship into a working design and contract.

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and presenting proposals.

  • Designing, selling, and overseeing multiple types of landscape projects, including the construction of patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, screened porches, decks, etc.

  • Meeting prospective clients in person at their homes to discuss their project(s) and communicating initial concepts during the site visit.

  • Completing a design for the client based upon topics discussed a the site meeting.

  • Complete detailed landscape or other component drawings.

  • Drafting site conditions.

  • Project management during the installation process.

  • Manage scheduling, communications, and documents pertaining to multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Degree in landscape design or landscape architecture.

  • Ability to work individually.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience.

  • Good driving record and ability to use the vehicle to visit job sites should a company vehicle be unavailable.

  • Knowledge of computer-based design systems is a must (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D, photoshop, etc.).

  • Knowledge of plant materials.

 

Salary will be based upon experience. Benefits include:

Entry Level Landscape Architect or Architect

Full-time employment - NO REMOTE WORK

Knowledge of Auto CAD and other design-related graphic software (Sketchup, Photoshop, 3D imaging) required.

Ability to perform site analysis that includes field measurements of existing site conditions.

Ability to research local county codes for construction projects (setbacks, easements, lot coverage, etc.).

This is a full-time salaried position with flexible hours and a starting salary of $45-55K
