This year, we had the privilege of designing and building luxury outdoor living spaces throughout McLean and Northern Virginia, each tailored to the architecture of the home and the lifestyle of its owners. While every project is unique, they all share one thing in common: timeless design paired with exceptional craftsmanship.
Project Highlight #1: A Modern Resort-Inspired Pool & Spa Retreat | McLean, VA
This McLean, VA project was envisioned as a bold yet balanced modern retreat—one that delivers visual impact while remaining warm, functional, and deeply livable.
What began as an awkwardly shaped, out-of-grade pool surrounded by concrete walls and uneven levels has been reimagined into a refined, multi-functional retreat. Previously, the space offered little usable area adjacent to the home, and the large bordering garage further constrained the layout. Today, the once-tired backyard is a harmonious extension of the home—crafted for both daily living and elegant entertaining.

Project Highlight #2: Collaboration Over the Years | McLean, VA
For this McLean, VA couple—longtime clients of Land Art Design—the next chapter in a trusted, multi-project collaboration was ready to unfold. Building on previous front-of-house enhancements and backyard expansions, their latest vision was an elegant family-friendly backyard retreat designed for both everyday living and elevated entertaining
Their newly expanded property was transformed from a steep, challenging site into a refined, family-friendly retreat, anchored by a pool, spa, and pool house. Thoughtful design navigated site constraints while creating an outdoor space that balances relaxation, recreation, and architectural elegance.
